Technology

There are two areas of technology: Design and Technology, and Computing.

Design and Technology (D&T)
Key to the children's experience of technology is the way in which they develop the social skills required to work as a member of a team, the ability to communicate in practical contexts and flexibility and openness of mind necessary to meet challenges and persevere in their efforts to achieve success.

Computing
All classrooms have interactive whiteboards. IT is used in all subjects to enhance teaching and learning with many lessons now delivered through PowerPoint presentations, and interactive teaching resources.
We have an ICT suite with thirty-two computers, all with internet access. The children are taught to gather, organise, store, retrieve and present information in graphical and database forms. They also use digital cameras to enhance their work.

We also have laptop trolleys containing 26 laptops and 48 tablets, enabling children to research using the internet in classrooms to support their learning further.
The school website is a very well developed and maintained resource, providing parents with information about their children’s learning as well as about wider school life.
